Mercy Meals with HHRD - Pakistani Falooda

In Pakistan, Falooda is a cherished Ramadan dessert, layered, refreshing, and shared after iftar as families unwind together.

Pakistani Falooda 

You’ll need (serves around 6 people): 

  • Malai Kulfi or Vanilla ice cream 

  • 1 packet vermicelli noodles/rice noodles 

  • 2 tbsp basil seeds 

  • 1 sachet of strawberry jelly 

  • Milk (cold) as needed 

  • Rooh Afza as needed 

  • Nuts of choice (almonds and pistachios, chopped) 

PREPARATION: 

  1. Make the jelly according to the package and store it in the refrigerator. 

  1. Make the vermicelli noodles and store them in the refrigerator. 

  1. Make the Rooh Afza milk and set aside 

LET'S MAKE THE FALOODA: 

  1. Take 2 tbsp of basil seeds in a glass. 

  1. Next, add 2 tbsp jelly. 

  1. Add 2 tbsp vermicelli noodles. 

  1. Now add malai kulfi or ice cream. 

  1. Layer again if needed 

  1. Add Rooh Afza milk on top, plus the nuts. 

  1. Serve immediately and enjoy!
