Students and their families as well as schools and local leaders each play a critical role in educating the next generation and strengthening the economic vitality and social health of our communities. HHRD recognizes education as a basic human right and one of the most direct and viable pathways out of poverty.
We believe that graduating from a four-year degree program after intermediate is the most effective means for our students to earn higher lifetime incomes, have better health outcomes, and enjoy fulfilling lives. There are many students who despite their highest academic honors are unable to attend higher education because of the high tuition costs of many higher education institutions. These scholarships are for talented but needy students.
Higher Education support allows youth, mainly HHRD sponsored orphan graduates, the ability to secure an educational path for higher levels of study.“It was my childhood dream to become a doctor. Now with the grace of Allah and the help of HHRD and its donors I am pursuing an education as a Doctor of Physiotherapy under HHRD’s Education Support program. HHRD provided me with the chance to become a physiotherapist in the best college through a very expensive scholarship. My dream for when I become a doctor is to support my siblings in completing their higher education Insha’Allah. I hope to support other orphans and needy students like myself in my professional career Insha’Allah.”
