Days of relentless monsoon rains have triggered widespread flooding across Bangladesh, leaving more than 1 million people affected across 10 districts.Entire communities have been inundated, forcing thousands of families into emergency shelters while destroying water sources, sanitation facilities, and critical infrastructure. With nearly 40% of those affected being children and youth, the need for immediate humanitarian assistance continues to grow.
HHRD has launched emergency relief operations in Chattogram through trusted local partners, with an initial goal of reaching 6,000+ families. Each family will receive a seven-day Dignity Food Survival Package containing clean water, staple food items, and other essentials, along with psychosocial support to help communities cope with the emotional impact of the disaster. As support grows, HHRD will expand its response to reach even more flood-affected families.
