“We fled from Syria to Jordan after my husband died in 2013. My children, grandchildren and I are 13 members, and we live in one house. When I came to Jordan with my orphaned children, we were surprised and challenged by the high cost of living. I enrolled and completed my HHRD training course in handicrafts to generate income. I really enjoy making these art products and my son with the mental disabilities loves to help me. I feel that I am a productive member of society, and I dream of having my own shop.”
