East Africa is facing the worst drought in 40 years due to 4 years of insufficient rainfall. 20 million are at risk of starvation, mostly women and children. A chronic lack of water has created a food shortage, a rise in infections and preventable diseases, and the death of millions of livestock—the livelihood and major food source for people in this region.
HHRD is registered as an International NGO (INGO) with offices and team members in Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, and Tanzania and is working to provide urgent relief through malnutrition healing food, along with clean water, sanitation and hygiene services to reduce infections and disease outbreaks.
Your support will provide life-saving assistance to families in need.
As a registered INGO, HHRD conducts several developmental programs and projects in Kenya, Somalia, Uganda and Tanzania such as the ‘School of Excellence’ in Somalia, Healthcare and Nutrition, Water for Life (water accessibility), WASH (Water and Sanitation Hygiene), Orphan Support, Children with Disabilities, Skills Development and Livelihood, Youth Empowerment and seasonal programs.
